Once there was a woman staying at home alone. Because of being eaten up with disease, she hadn’t been out for a long time. She was looking forward to a fine day arriving soon, so that she could go out to breathe the fresh air, bathe in the warm sunshine, and enjoy the comfortable breeze.
One day, after listening to the weather forecast, the woman got that it would be a fine day, she got up early and intended to go out. However, when she was about to go out, she glanced out of the window. Then, she shook her head and thought: Oh, no! The outside weather is gloomy. It would be harmful to my health if I should go out. I had better wait for another day.
The following day, she looked out of the window again. She still shook her head and said to herself: the good weather has not come, I may just wait again!
Thus, the woman gave up the opportunity of going out time after time. She only looked outside through the window every day, but she didn’t dare to take a step away from home. Because she was afraid that the gloomy day would do harm to her health. At the same time, she eagerly anticipated a fine day.
One day, one of her best friends called at her house and advised her to go outside to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. After hearing that, she shook her head and expressed her worries. Then her friend said: “You need not go out right now, but you can open the window to keep watch, then make a decision.” Finally, the woman accepted her friend’s advice. She cautiously pushed and opened the window which covered with dust for a long time. Outside the window, it was warm sunshine and gentle breeze; the sun shone brightly; the aroma of soil mixed with the fragrance of flowers following the breeze caressed her face; Some rays of warm sunlight came in so pleasantly from the open window and shone on the woman; she could not help signing with deep feeling: “Isn’t it the fine day that I have expected and waited for a long time?”
At the moment, the woman realized: In fact, the sunny day had already come! Yet, it was merely the old window that was covered with dust and dirt veiled her eyes, let her couldn’t see the outside world. So it was difficult for her to step out from home. The woman ran out the door immediately and opened her arms to embrace the sunshine which had been waiting her for a long time. More than excited, she was full of regret and gratitude. Have You Heard God’s Voice?
Reading this story and thinking of the people in real life, aren’t we in the same position? It has been 2000 years since the Lord Jesus went away, countless devout Christians are longing for His return. Especially in the last days of today, many people are much more urgent to welcome the return of Lord Jesus. Just at this moment, the Christ of the last days, Almighty God arrives as He promised and brings His words, which shakes the earth and the universe and resounds through the skies. Those who expect the return of the Lord Jesus for a long time are very excited and cheerful! However, when they are ready to follow Lamb’s footsteps with full confidence, some pastors and elders in the religious world strongly defend the church of the Lord with a watchword “protecting the sheep flock”, and start making up and spread the rumors, such as: “Where you believed in, there you should be. If you go to other churches, you are a scarlet woman who fornicates.” “As we believe in the Lord, we have been forgiven our sins, so we can enter God’s heaven, without starting new work by God.” “Obeying the leaders means obeying God, while going against the leaders equals to resist God’s order.” These words like the dust and dirt covered on the woman’s window, which blinds many Christians’ eyes so that they cannot clearly know the fact that God has worked among man. Their hearts are covered with dark clouds. They dare not to open the doors of heart to seek God’s appearance or meet God’s return. As a result, they keep the attitude without listening, seeing or investigating God’s work in the last days. Meanwhile they long bitterly, waiting for the return of the Lord Jesus who exists in their minds.
In fact, whether Almighty God is the return of the Lord Jesus or not, only those who have read Almighty God’s words and investigated God’s work of the last days know best! How The Church of Almighty God ultimately is, only those who have accepted God’s work in the last days know most clearly. Thinking back when Lord Jesus worked in Jew, those ignorant Jews had no own views and firm stance on what Lord Jesus has done and said, and never sought or investigated it. Instead, they just listened and believed the rumors from these Pharisees and pontiff who are hypocrites, and abandoned Messiah’s arrival and lost the greatest salvation of God. How tragic it is!
Almighty God says: “There is an enormous secret in your heart. You never know it there because you have been living in a world without light shining. Your heart and your spirit have been taken away by the evil one. Your eyes are covered by darkness; you cannot see the sun in the sky, nor the twinkling star in the night. Your ears are clogged with deceptive words and you hear not the thunderous voice of Jehovah, nor the sound of the rushing waters from the throne. … As dawn arrives, a morning star arises from the east. It is a star never there before. It lights up the still starry skies and ignites the extinguished light in the hearts of people. People are no longer lonely, because of this light, the light that shines upon you and upon others. But only you remain soundly asleep in the dark night. You are unable to hear the sound, nor see the light, unable to notice the advent of a new heaven and a new earth, a new age. Because your father tells you, ‘My child, do not get up, it is still early. The outdoors are cold, stay inside, lest the sword and spear pierce your eyes.’ You believe only in your father’s exhortation, because you believe that father is correct as father is older than you, and that father truly loves you” (“The Sighing of the Almighty” in The Word Appears in the Flesh).
It is indeed the fact, when God has incarnated in the last days to carry out new work, the eyes of those believers in religious sects are veiled and their ears are blocked by pastors and elders, their heart-doors are closed tightly, so they cannot see God’s appearance or hear the new utterances of God, which makes many people who eagerly yearning for God’s return but missing the good opportunity of meeting Him, but watching a deserted “Temple of God” and spending the day in vain. Do you not know that the Lord Jesus said long ago: “Seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you” (Mat 7:7). Almighty God says: “And so, after man was forgiven his sins, God has returned to flesh to lead man into the new age, and begun the work of chastisement and judgment, and this work has brought man into a higher realm. All those who submit under His dominion shall enjoy higher truth and receive greater blessings. They shall truly live in the light, and shall gain the truth, the way, and the life” (Preface to The Word Appears in the Flesh). God’s words are the truth, the way, and the life, which are wellspring of living water from the throne. Only by opening the windows of our hearts actively, admitting a true light, and dispersing the haze in heart can man hear God’s voice, can they see God’s appearance and get God’s salvation in the last days.
Almighty God says: “The return of Jesus is a great salvation for those who are capable of accepting the truth, but for those who are unable to accept the truth it is a sign of condemnation. You should choose your own path, and should not blaspheme against the Holy Spirit and reject the truth. You should not be an ignorant and arrogant person, but someone who obeys the guidance of the Holy Spirit and longs for and seeks the truth; only in this way will you benefit. I advise you to tread the path of belief in God with care. Do not jump to conclusions; what’s more, do not be casual and carefree in your belief in God. You should know that, at the very least, those who believe in God should be humble and reverential” (“When You Behold the Spiritual Body of Jesus Will Be When God Has Made Anew Heaven and Earth” in The Word Appears in the Flesh). At this moment, are you veiled by the gloomy window as the woman? Are you hesitant to be deceived by the lies? If so, please try to open your heart’s window, and use your heart to feel the advent of a new heaven and a new earth, a new age!
