         I

        You speak to lead me forward, so now my life bears light. Your chastisement left me fearful, but I didn't understand Your heart. Your stern words revealed my nature; I doubted what You said. I hurt You in the process, I've been such a fool. Foolish was I, not knowing Your word is life. But because of these truths, I've come so far since. No matter when or where, Your life-bearing words and grace let me see how Christ is truth, the way, and the life. He's my one and only, He's my one and only.

        The world is always turning, but the truth never changes. Nothing is more precious than life; You are worthy of all praises. To lose Your word is to lose the real life. And if I ever leave Your word, You know my disposition will never change. I must work harder to practice Your word, grasp Your will. I see now that Christ is truth, the way, and the life. He's my one and only, He's my one and only. I may be poor, I may fall sick, but I'll never leave Your word. My flesh may be forgone, and my family torn, but I won't betray the truth. He's my one and only, He's my one and only. He's my one and only, He's my one and only, He's my God.

From Almighty God’s Word, I Have Found My Life Direction

My name is Novo, I am a Filipino. Since I was little, I believed in God with my mother. I went to church with my brothers and sisters to listen to sermons. Even though I had believed in the Lord for many years, I felt that I was like an unbeliever. Within my heart, I would think about how to earn more money and live a better life all day long. Furthermore, I would frequently go out and drink with friends. Once I had extra money, I would go out and gamble. Even though I knew that what I was doing was bad and I would frequently pray to God saying that I would change these bad habits of mine, I basically never put it into practice. In this way, I became increasingly degenerated. I did not pray sincerely to God. Each week, I would only pray a few simple prayers in a perfunctory way. Sometimes, I felt very desperate because I knew that when the Lord returned, He would judge everybody’s actions. He would then decide whether each person would go to heaven or go to hell. I felt that I was a degenerate and that God would not forgive me. Afterward, I married and had kids. All I thought about was my wife and my children. When it came to my faith, I pushed it to the back of my mind. In order to provide a better future for my children and to achieve my desires to become rich, I decided to leave the country to find work. As a result, I came to Taiwan. Even after I found work, I still had not changed my past lifestyle. During my leisure time, I would still go out to drink and sing with my colleagues. I was living the life of an unbeliever.

In 2011, I worked as a welder in a factory in Taiwan. One day in 2012, a colleague in Taiwan asked me if I was a Catholic. I replied that I was. Afterward, she invited me for Mass at her church. Then, one Sunday morning, at dawn, she came to the factory to pick us up and brought us to her friend’s house. There, I met Brother Joseph. He asked me, “Brother, do you expect the second coming of the Lord Jesus?” I said that I did. Joseph asked me again, “Do you know what work the Lord Jesus will do when He returns?” I replied, “He will sit upon a white throne and judge mankind and divide people into different groups. Afterward, God will decide, based on each man’s conducts and deeds, whether he will go to heaven or hell.” Brother Joseph continued to ask me, “If we told you that the Lord Jesus has already come and is doing the work of judgment, would you believe?” I was quite surprised when I heard him say this. I thought: Has the Lord Jesus already returned? How is this possible? Wouldn’t He judge us if He has already returned? I haven’t seen the judgment before the great white throne! However, I did not directly ask him these questions because I felt that God’s judgment is a mystery and God’s wisdom is unfathomable to man. My viewpoints may not be right. I felt it would be better for me to listen to their viewpoints first. As a result, I replied, “This is something that I do not yet dare confirm. Please continue to speak.” Afterward, Brother Joseph and others showed me many passages from the Bible that talked about the judgment work that He would do once He returned. Two verses from this selection are as follows: “He that rejects me, and receives not my words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (Jhn 12:48). “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God” (1Pe 4:17). After I saw these predictions, I focused my attention on what these brothers and sisters had to say. I believed that what they had shared with me was the truth because I knew that the Bible had recorded the work of God.

God Puts His Hope Completely on Man

From the beginning until now, only man's able to converse with God. That is, only man is able to converse with God, among all living things and what He created. Man has ears to hear, and eyes to see; he has thoughts, and language, as well as his free will. Man has all abilities that are required to hear God speak and understand God's will, and accept God's commission, and accept the commission from God, and so God puts all His hope on man. He wants to make man a companion of His, who is of the same heart and mind with Him, and who can walk together with Him.

Since God started His management, God's been waiting for man to give his heart, give his heart to Him all the time, to let Him purify and equip it, to make man satisfy God, loved by God, to make man fear God and shun evil. God's been expecting and waiting, waiting for this outcome all the time, to make man satisfy God, loved by God, to make man fear God and shun evil. Every time I listen to this hymn, I feel God is so closed to me. Among all living things, though many animals also own eyes, ears, only men have Jehovah’s breath and free will which is the most precious thing. Though a little blooming lily can also testify God’s deed with its vitality and beautiful petals, it is different from a man who owns free will to choose. At the beginning, man betrayed God and was beguiled by Satan. As time passes by, man grows wicked and numb. However, God’s three-stage work has aroused our consciousness and desire to return to Him and satisfy Him. Till now, God has gained a group of people who are conquered by his word. It manifests that God's painstaking care and hope in saving mankind never changes. What God wants is not a robot, but a man who can satisfy and testify Him willingly. Therefore, God’s sincerity is worth of our adoration, isn’t it? 

Eastern Lightning | The Church of Almighty God came into being because of the work of the returned Lord Jesus—the end-time Christ, “Almighty God”—in China, and it isn't established by any person. Christ is the truth, the way, and the life. After reading Almighty God’s word, you will see that God has appeared.

A River of Water of Life

I

A river of water of life, clear as crystal, flows out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. On either side of the river is there the tree of life, which bears twelve manner of fruits, and yields her fruit every month. The leaves of the tree are for healing of the nations. There shall be no more curse, no more curse. The throne of God and the Lamb shall be in the city. His servants shall serve Him, and they shall see His face, shall see His face. His name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night; no need of candle, no candle, nor the light of the sun; for the Lord God gives them light. They shall reign forever and ever. The holy city, new Jerusalem, comes down from God out of the heaven, out of heaven. Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, He will dwell with them. They shall be His people. God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow or crying, no pain anymore, for the former things are passed away. He will give to him who is thirsty of the fountain of water of life freely, freely give. He that overcomes shall inherit all things; God will be his God, and he shall be His son. For the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of the city. The city has no need of the sun, nor the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God and the Lamb lighten it. The nations shall walk in the light, walk in the light: the kings of earth do bring their glory into it. The gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there, no night there. They shall bring glory and honor of the nations into it. There shall in no wise enter any thing that defiles, nor works abomination, or makes a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life, they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

IV

The lightning comes from the East and shines to the West. Christ of the last days, Almighty God, has come among men. He expresses the truth: the Word appearing in the flesh. Before God's throne, all people accept exercise and perfection of kingdom. Christ of the last days has brought the eternal way of life. God's people are face to face with God every day and enjoy God's word, sweet beyond compare. The word, a two-edged sword, judges to purify and save men. Judgment has begun with the house of God. The curtain has risen on judgment of the last days. All people of God hallow the name of Almighty God. Into His kingdom, Almighty God has come. God's work has been accomplished. He has gained full glory. He has gained full glory.

Eastern Lightning, The Church of Almighty God was created because of the appearance and work of Almighty God, the second coming of the Lord Jesus, Christ of the last days. It is made up of all those who accept Almighty God's work in the last days and are conquered and saved by His words. The Church of Almighty God was founded by Almighty God personally. It was definitely not created by a person. Christ is the truth, the way, and the life. God's sheep hear God's voice. As long as you read the words of Almighty God, you will see God has appeared.
