Eastern Lightning-Christian Crosstalk "Last Days' Pharisees"-Who Blocks Christians From Welcoming Lord Jesus' Return

Eastern Lightning-Christian Crosstalk "Last Days' Pharisees"-Who Blocks Christians From Welcoming Lord Jesus' Return

Christian Zhang Yi heard testimony that the Lord had returned, but as he investigated the true way, his pastor and elder tried several times to stop and prevent him, saying, "Any who claim the Lord has come incarnate are spreading heresy and false teachings. Don't listen to them, don't read their words, and don't have any contact with them!" This confused Zhang Yi, because the Lord Jesus clearly said, "And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him" (Matthew 25:6). "My sheep hear My voice" (John 10:27). The Lord's words say that people must be wise virgins and actively seek and listen to the Lord's voice to be able to receive the Lord, but his pastor and elder try everything they can to prevent and limit believers from hearing God's voice. Why are they afraid of believers investigating the true way? … Through debates with his pastor and elder, Zhang Yi finally sees who the Pharisees are in the last days, and who is the real obstacle preventing believers from receiving the Lord.

Clip "Knocking at the Door" (4) - The Lord Is Knocking at the Door: Can You Recognize His Voice? (1)

View Feature Page: How Do the Wise Virgins Hear the Voice of God and Welcome the Lord?

The Lord Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice" (Jhn 10:27). Clearly, the Lord is speaking to search for His sheep upon His return. The most crucial thing for Christians to do as they await the coming of the Lord is to seek to hear the voice of the Lord. How is one able to recognize the voice of the Lord, though? What is the difference between the voice of God and the voice of humans?

Can We Enter the Kingdom of Heaven Now That Our Sins Have Been Forgiven

He Jun, Sichuan

Sunday August 5th, 2018. Cloudy.

After the meeting today, a brother came seeking me, his face filled with worry. He said that God requires people to be sanctified, but that he often involuntarily commits sin, and if he always lives like this in sin, then will he be able to enter into the kingdom of heaven when the Lord comes? I told him that the Lord Jesus was crucified and that He took upon Himself all our sins, paying the price with His life. I said that our sins had been forgiven because of our faith in the Lord Jesus, and that the Lord no longer saw us as sinners, and that as long as we could give up everything and expend ourselves, work hard for the Lord, and endure till the very end, then we would be raptured up into the kingdom of heaven when the Lord returned. After the brother heard me say this, he looked as though he hadn’t gotten the answer he’d wanted, and he left looking somewhat disappointed. As I watched him walk away, I felt some very complex emotions. To tell the truth, didn’t I have the same worries as this brother did? Thinking of how I had believed in the Lord for many years but had often been bound by sin, and had been living in a condition whereby I sinned in the daytime and confessed in the evening, I didn’t wish to keep living that way either. But I really wasn’t capable of overcoming sin, and so I often prayed to the Lord and strengthened my reading of the scriptures. And yet I never resolved the problem of my sins. The Lord is holy, so would He commend someone like me, so filled with sin?

Tuesday August 7th, 2018. Cloudy.

Today I had a quarrel with my wife over a trivial matter, and I feel both self-reproach and distress. How come I’m repeating past mistakes again? This evening, I wept as I prayed to the Lord and confessed my sins, and after I’d prayed, I still felt upset. I thought of the Lord’s teachings: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like to it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39). These words are primarily asking us to love God with all our hearts and all our souls, and secondly that we have to love others as we do ourselves; brothers and sisters should encourage each other, be tolerant and patient with each other and give each other comfort and consolation. This is something we should do as Christians, and only in this way can we live lives which glorify the Lord and testify to Him. But over the past years of my belief in the Lord, I haven’t even met this one requirement: When at home, sometimes my wife and I quarrel over small matters; when at church and brothers and sisters say things that cause me to lose face, I start to feel prejudiced against them, and sometimes even ignore them. Most of the time, I pray saying that I wish to love the Lord, but when something unpleasant happens at home or some accident happens, I still misunderstand and blame the Lord, thinking “I’ve expended myself for the Lord so why doesn’t He protect me? …” Oh, nothing I do meets the Lord’s requirements nor conforms to the Lord’s will. Although I often pray to the Lord, I still sin often, and I cannot control it no matter how much I may want to. I often think: “Although my sins have been forgiven because of my belief in the Lord, I still always sin and displease the Lord. If I carry on this way, will I be able to enter into the kingdom of heaven when the Lord comes? How can I stop

committing sins?”

Recently, I’ve frequently consulted the Bible, and sought the pastors and elders out many times, but I’ve never gotten a satisfactory answer. This issue is directly linked to the important matter of whether or not I will be able to enter into the kingdom of heaven, and I can’t let it go no matter what. The Lord said: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7). I believe that, as long as I have a seeking heart, then the Lord will surely enlighten me.

Sunday August 12th, 2018. Overcast.

This morning, after saying an earnest prayer to the Lord, as usual, I opened up the Bible and began my spiritual devotions. I then read a verse in Revelation that stirred my heart: “And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defiles, neither whatever works abomination, or makes a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life” (Revelation 21:27). The Bible is telling us clearly that those of us who haven’t been cleansed cannot enter into it, and doesn’t this “it” refer to the kingdom of heaven? Then I read chapter 7, verse 21 in the Gospel of Matthew: “Not every one that said to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.” And also John 8:34-35 say, “Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever commits sin is the servant of sin. And the servant stays not in the house for ever: but the Son stays ever.” As I contemplated these verses of Scripture, I thought that, although I’ve prayed to the Lord and read the Bible every day over all these years of my belief in the Lord, and have often spread the gospel and worked, given things up and expended myself for Him, I still knowingly commit sin, I sin and then confess, and I can’t adhere to the Lord’s teachings or practice what the Lord requires. I’m clearly not someone who does the will of the Father which is in heaven, much less am I someone who has been cleansed, so will I still be able to enter into the kingdom of heaven? The kingdom of heaven is God’s kingdom and God is holy, so how could someone who is covered in filth and who always sins ever be qualified to enter the kingdom of heaven and live together with God? It seems as though entering the kingdom of heaven is not as simple as we imagined!

Monday August 13th, 2018. Cloudy yielding to sun.

Today, I bumped into Brother Zheng, who I haven’t seen for ages, and I was really happy to see him. As we chatted, I mentioned the thing that had been puzzling me all this time. After I’d told him about it, Brother Zheng gave me fellowship, saying, “Man’s sins were forgiven when the Lord Jesus was crucified, and when we believe in the Lord, our sins are forgiven and we are saved. But what exactly does it mean to say that our sins are forgiven? If we can understand this issue, then we would know why we still commit sin even after believing in the Lord and having our sins forgiven. When it comes to whether or not we will be able to enter into the kingdom of heaven, we first have to take a look at the background to the Lord Jesus’ appearance and work. At the end of the Age of Law, man was being corrupted more and more by Satan and was committing more and more sins, so much so that there was no longer any sin offering that they could make that would have sufficiently atoned for their sins, and people were in danger of being condemned and sentenced to death by the law of the time. Against this backdrop, God became flesh as the Lord Jesus and was crucified on the cross as a sin offering for man, and thus man’s sins were forgiven once and forever. Thereafter, so long as people prayed, confessed and repented in the name of the Lord, then their sins were forgiven, and they were no longer subject to the condemnation and punishment of the law. Neither did God see man as sinful any longer, and people could directly pray to and call on God, and enjoy God’s abundant grace and His provision of the truth. From this it can be seen that our sins were forgiven because of our belief in the Lord, and that what is meant by ‘our sins were forgiven’ is simply that God has forgiven us our sins of violating His laws and commandments and of going against His word. That is to say, the Lord will not remember our sinful deeds of violating and offending God’s laws. But our satanic dispositions and sinful nature, which causes us to sin, have not been forgiven by God, and it is precisely because our God-defying sinful nature and satanic dispositions continue to exist that we are still capable of frequently committing sins. It can therefore be seen that our sinful nature is something that is most defiant to God and is in opposition to the truth, and if we do not resolve our sinful nature, then the problem of man’s sins will be impossible to resolve, and we can even commit sins worse than that of violating the law, and entering into the kingdom of heaven will be utterly out of the question. The Bible clearly states: ‘But as he which has called you is holy, so be you holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be you holy; for I am holy’ (1 Peter 1:15-16). ‘For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries’ (Hebrews 10:26-27). ‘For the wages of sin is death’ (Romans 6:23). From these verses I saw that if our sinful nature remains unresolved, and we still live in a condition whereby we sin in the daytime and confess in the evening, then though we may believe in the Lord till the end, we will still perish, for God is holy, and mankind which is filthy and corrupted is unworthy to receive God’s blessings and promises, and will be unable to enter into the kingdom of God.”

Right now, my heart feels somewhat brighter, and I understand that our sins being forgiven means only that the Lord has forgiven us our sinful deeds of violating God’s laws. But we have not yet resolved our God-defying sinful nature, so no wonder I can’t resolve it no matter how much I may want to, when I live every day in a state of sinning in the daytime and confessing in the evening! Thank the Lord! The fellowship I received today really was so clear, and I feel like the clouds have passed and I can finally see blue sky. As I was leaving, Brother Zheng gave me a book and said that all of his understanding came from reading this book, and I felt happy.

Wednesday August 15th, 2018. A clear day.

Thanks to God’s love, I’ve felt pretty good these last few days. From this book which Brother Zheng gave me, I’ve come to understand many truths that I had not previously understood, and it has undone my many years of confusion and bewilderment. I read in the book: “For, in the Age of Grace, the demons were cast out from man with the laying on of hands and prayer, but the corrupt dispositions within man still remained. Man was healed of his sickness and forgiven his sins, but as for just how man was to be purged of the corrupt satanic dispositions within him, this work had yet to be done. Man was only saved and forgiven his sins for his faith, but the sinful nature of man was not extirpated and still remained within him. The sins of man were forgiven through the agency of the incarnate God, but this does not mean that man no longer has sin within him. The sins of man could be forgiven through the sin offering, but as for just how man can be made to sin no more, and how his sinful nature may be extirpated completely and transformed, he has no way of solving this problem” (“The Mystery of the Incarnation (4)”). “You only know that Jesus shall descend during the last days, but how exactly will He descend? A sinner such as you, who has just been redeemed, and has not been changed, or been perfected by God, can you be after God’s heart? For you, you who are still of your old self, it is true that you were saved by Jesus, and that you are not counted as a sinner because of the salvation of God, but this does not prove that you are not sinful, and are not impure. How can you be saintly if you have not been changed? Within, you are beset by impurity, selfish and mean, yet you still wish to descend with Jesus—you should be so lucky! You have missed a step in your belief in God: You have merely been redeemed, but have not been changed. For you to be after God’s heart, God must personally do the work of changing and cleansing you; if you are only redeemed, you will be incapable of attaining sanctity. In this way you will be unqualified to share in the good blessings of God, for you have missed out a step in God’s work of managing man, which is the key step of changing and perfecting. And so you, a sinner who has just been redeemed, are incapable of directly inheriting God’s inheritance” (“Concerning Appellations and Identity”).

Thank the Lord! These words are so precious, and they have resolved this issue that has perplexed me for so long. So how exactly can we get rid of sin? Will this book have a way to do this? I must keep reading …

Thursday August 16th, 2018. Overcast turning sunny.

In the afternoon, the sun managed to shine through from behind thick clouds. I’m sitting in my library as I carry on reading that book.

I give thanks to God’s enlightenment and guidance! Within this book, I’ve found the way to cast off the bonds of sin: “The sins of man were forgiven, and this is because of the work of God’s crucifixion, but man continued to live within the corrupt satanic disposition of old. This being so, man must be completely saved from his corrupt satanic disposition, so that his sinful nature may be completely extirpated, never to develop again, thus enabling the disposition of man to be transformed. This would require man to grasp the path of growth in life, to grasp the way of life, and to grasp the way to change his disposition. Furthermore, it would require man to act in accordance with this path, so that his disposition may gradually be changed and he may live under the shining of the light, so that all that he does may be in accord with the will of God, so that he may cast away his corrupt satanic disposition, and so that he may break free from Satan’s influence of darkness, thereby emerging fully from sin. Only then will man receive complete salvation” (“The Mystery of the Incarnation (4)”). “Fully saving man from the influence of Satan not only required Jesus to take on the sins of man as the sin offering, but also required God to do greater work to completely rid man of his disposition, which has been corrupted by Satan. And so, after man was forgiven his sins, God has returned to flesh to lead man into the new age, and begun the work of chastisement and judgment, and this work has brought man into a higher realm. All those who submit under His dominion shall enjoy higher truth and receive greater blessings. They shall truly live in the light, and shall gain the truth, the way, and the life” (“Only He Who Experiences the Work of God Truly Believes in God”).

When I read these two passages, I suddenly saw the light: As it turns out, if we want to cast off the bonds and constraints of our satanic and corrupt dispositions, we must accept God’s work of judgment in the last days and then our corrupt dispositions can be changed and cleansed, and only then will we be qualified to see God’s face, attain the complete salvation of God, and live forever in God’s kingdom. I couldn’t help but think of something the Lord Jesus said: “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come” (John 16:12-13). And these prophecies in the Bible also came to mind: “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God” (1 Peter 4:17). “Who are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation ready to be revealed in the last time” (1 Peter 1:5). As it happens, the Lord Jesus long ago prophesied that He would come again in the last days and would perform His work of judgment in order to utterly cleanse and change our corrupt dispositions, and allow us to gain all truths and attain the complete salvation of God. But I was so ignorant and blind; I didn’t make the effort to contemplate or seek the Lord’s will within His words, but instead I held to my own conceptions and imaginings, believing that the Lord Jesus had taken our sins upon Himself, that our sins had already been forgiven, and as long as we gave everything up to follow the Lord, then we would be able to enter into the kingdom of heaven. Now it seems that if the problem of us committing sins is not resolved, with our bodies filled with filth and corruption, we will ultimately be unable to enter the kingdom of heaven, just as it says in this book: “You must know what kind of people I desire; those who are impure are not permitted to enter into the kingdom, those who are impure are not permitted to besmirch the holy ground. Though you may have done much work, and have worked for many years, in the end if you are still deplorably filthy—it is intolerable to the law of Heaven that you wish to enter My kingdom! From the foundation of the world until today, never have I offered easy access to My kingdom to those who curry favor with Me. This is a heavenly rule, and no one can break it!” (“Success or Failure Depends on the Path That Man Walks”).

These words carry authority and power, and I understand that God is both merciful and loving, and yet He is also the righteous and holy God Himself. God does not permit filthy, corrupted man to enter into His kingdom, and if our sinful nature is not cleansed and changed, then even if our sins have been forgiven, and on the outside we appear to do some good deeds and we give everything up, expend ourselves and work for the Lord, our dream of entering into the kingdom of heaven will forever be just a dream!

The clouds really have passed and I now see the sunlight! I now know at last that those of us who have attained the Lord’s salvation have only had our sins forgiven and have been redeemed, but we have not rid ourselves of sin. We must still accept God’s work of judgment in the last days and be cleansed, and only then will we be qualified to enter the kingdom of heaven and attain eternal life. This precisely fulfills what was prophesied in the Book of Revelation: “And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defiles, neither whatever works abomination, or makes a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life” (Revelation 21:27). Thank the Lord, for at last I know how to rid myself of sin!

What Salvation Is and How It’s Gained From Go

By Junying

Being saved by God isn’t the same as being rescued. It’s not aid given to the poor by the rich, it’s not a doctor saving the life of a patient, and it’s not the loving help of a kind person or a charitable organization. God’s salvation is prepared for the sake of saving mankind and it is overflowing with God’s great love and mercy for humanity. Gaining it means that we are able to accept God’s salvation, obey His current words and work, put God’s words into practice, comply with God’s way, as well as do things and conduct ourselves in accordance with His requirements. This is the only way we can gain God’s salvation.

Throughout each of our lives God will give us many opportunities to gain His salvation, but in order to get it we must first acknowledge and accept it. Otherwise, we will miss the chance just like the foolish virgins did, and we will regret it for eternity. There are some who may say: “If the chance is gone, it’s gone. It doesn’t matter.” But is that true? We must first understand this fact: Missing out on God’s salvation isn’t like missing out on a tasty meal or like missing a bus, nor is it like missing a chance at getting higher education or a new job. Rather, it is like a person trapped in a burning building missing a firefighter’s rescue; it is like someone who is drowning failing to catch a piece of driftwood. It’s clear that whether we are able to accept and gain salvation from God is directly related to the incredibly important issues of whether we can gain God’s approval, and be saved and enter into the kingdom of heaven. Missing out on God’s salvation is a regrettable, pitiable thing; knowing and gaining God’s salvation is incredibly important for all of us! Since it is so important, let’s now come to understand God’s salvation from His work and seek out how we can gain it!

God’s Salvation for Mankind in the Age of Law

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, and all things. After everything was set up, He created Adam and Eve, human beings’ progenitors. God put them into the Garden of Eden, and they lived happily under His protection. However, they were tempted into betraying God by the snake and were then driven out from the Garden of Eden and into a life of sickness, aging, and death. From then on, mankind became more and more corrupt and fell into such evil and depravity that God used a great flood to wipe out all human beings of that time, only allowing eight members of Noah’s family to survive. After that humanity continued to survive and reproduce on the earth, but the people of the time were aware of nothing more than their food and lodging and all the grace God bestowed upon them. They did not understand how to be good people, how to live on the earth, where human beings came from or how to worship or revere God. People like that had no ability to glorify or exalt God and they were entirely unable to meet God’s will. This is why God initiated His work of management for mankind’s salvation. Jehovah God used Moses to issue His commandments and the law to guide mankind’s lives on earth. For example, observing the Sabbath, honoring one’s parents, not worshiping idols, and not committing adultery or stealing. He also put regulations into place for people’s sacrifices, for food, recompense for theft, as well as the slaughtering of animals. Anyone who violated God’s laws would be burned or stoned to death, but if they kept Jehovah’s laws and commandments, they would be blessed by Him. Jehovah God restrained human beings by means of His commandments and laws; this guided people to live on earth in a proper, orderly way, allowing them to carry things out according to standards and know that people should worship the one and only God—this was God’s salvation in the Age of Law. By coming before God, heeding Jehovah’s words, upholding His laws and commandments, and devotedly worshiping Jehovah, people could be saved and blessed by God, and they could gain God’s salvation in the Age of Law.

God’s Salvation for Mankind in the Age of Grace

Late in the Age of Law people became more and more corrupt, and fewer and fewer people were keeping the law and the commandments. They were doing many things that offended God’s dispositions, such as worshiping idols, committing adultery, devising wicked schemes, committing theft and robbery, and being greedy and corrupt. They were even using lame and blind doves, cattle, and sheep as sacrifices for God. God is righteous and holy; that kind of behavior by people inevitably led to their deaths as determined by law because God’s disposition was offended. However, God loves mankind and does not want to destroy all of man, so He personally became flesh to come to earth. The Lord Jesus incarnate ended the Age of Law and began the Age of Grace; He expressed the way of repentance, providing mankind with a new path of practice. He taught people how to be forgiving and tolerant, how to love their enemies and forgive others seventy times seven times. The Lord Jesus also healed the sick and drove out demons; He carried out all manner of miracles, and as long as people genuinely confessed, the Lord Jesus would forgive their sins with His great tolerance and patience. Finally, the Lord Jesus was nailed to the cross as a permanent sin offering for mankind. He took on all of humanity’s sins, achieving the work of redemption of the Age of Grace. This is the salvation brought to mankind by God in the Age of Grace. By accepting the salvation of the Lord Jesus, praying in His name, and confessing and repenting to the Lord, our sins can be redeemed and we can enjoy the peace and joy brought to us by God. This is gaining God’s salvation in the Age of Grace.

God’s Salvation for Mankind in the Last Days

The Lord Jesus redeemed us, allowing our sins to be forgiven. However, our sinful nature hasn’t been gotten rid of. Our satanic dispositions of being arrogant and conceited, selfish and despicable, crooked and deceitful, evil and greedy, sinister and malicious, are still deeply entrenched within us. Dominated by these satanic dispositions, we still sin and resist God in spite of ourselves. For example, we often engage in conflict and intrigue for the sake of our own advantage, even losing trust in our own loved ones. When we face illness, calamity, or danger, we blame and misunderstand God. We even try to reason with Him and oppose Him. We completely lack obedience. Jehovah God said: “You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy” (Leviticus 11:45). The Lord Jesus said: “Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever commits sin is the servant of sin. And the servant stays not in the house for ever: but the Son stays ever” (John 8:34–35). God is holy, and no sullied people may enter into His kingdom. We are covered with filth; we are corrupt and unrighteous, and we are unworthy of seeing God’s face or entering His kingdom. It is written in the Bible, “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). We can see that if we are never able to cast off the shackles and strictures of sin and continue to frequently knowingly sin, we will be in opposition to God because of our sins and will thus be destroyed by Him.

However, God’s words say: “Since He created man, He leads him; since He saves man, He will thoroughly save him, and will completely gain him; since He leads man, He will bring him to the proper destination; and since He created and manages man, He must take responsibility for man’s fate and prospects. It is this which is the work done by the Creator” (“Restoring the Normal Life of Man and Taking Him to a Wonderful Destination”). God created mankind and wants to completely gain man. Since He is saving mankind, He wants to completely save man from Satan’s grasp. This is why God has prepared the salvation of the last days for us. Just as it is written in the Bible: “Who are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation ready to be revealed in the last time” (1 Peter 1:5). “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and to them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin to salvation” (Hebrews 9:28). “Why gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 1:13). God’s words say: “The sins of man were forgiven, and this is because of the work of God’s crucifixion, but man continued to live within the corrupt satanic disposition of old. We can see from these words that the Lord Jesus returning in the last days is to bestow upon us the way of life so that we may understand all truth, understand the path to our corrupt satanic dispositions being cleansed, and cast off the shackles and strictures of our corrupt dispositions. It is only in this way that we can become people in line with God’s will, manage to gain God’s salvation, and be qualified to enter into His kingdom. This is the salvation that God has prepared for us in the last days.

What is the work that God of the last days primarily does? The Lord Jesus said: “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come” (John 16:12–13). “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 2:7). “He that rejects me, and receives not my words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:48). “For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment to the Son” (John 5:22). “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God” (1 Peter 4:17). God has clearly told us that God of the last days will utter more words and do the work of judgment, leading us to enter into all truth. By accepting God’s salvation of the last days, understanding all aspects of the truth, finding the path to our sins being cleansed, as well as acting in accordance with God’s requirements and the path He points out for us, we will be able to free ourselves from our corrupt satanic dispositions, be cleansed, and gain God’s salvation. Only this is gaining complete salvation from God! May we all be wise virgins who truly heed God’s voice, and when we hear that someone is bearing witness that God is uttering words and doing the work of judgment, do not blindly reject it. Instead, we should treat it with caution and proactively seek and investigate it to see if that way really is God’s work, if it contains expressions of the truth. This is the only way we can welcome the returned Lord Jesus and gain God’s salvation of the last days!

The 5 Prophecies in the Bible Concerning the Lord Jesus’ Return Have Been Fulfilled

By Zheng Xun

We are now at the end of the last days, and there are many brothers and sisters who believe sincerely in the Lord and await His return who must surely be thinking this question: In chapter 22, verse 12 of Revelation, the Lord Jesus prophesied, “And, behold, I come quickly.” The Lord promised us that He would come again in the last days, so has He now returned? This question really is so important to us Christians, so how exactly are we to know whether the Lord has really returned or not? In actual fact, the Lord Jesus has already told us through biblical prophecies, and as long as we take all the facts together and ponder them in earnest, then we will find the answer.

1. The Appearance of War, Famine and Earthquakes

It says in Matthew chapter 24, verses 6 to 8: “And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” The disasters that have occurred across the world in recent years have been growing more and more severe and, to man’s horror, earthquakes, floods, droughts, wildfires, famine and outbreaks of disease occur frequently and are widespread; the world is in a changeable and turbulent state, and war, violent acts, regional conflicts and terrorist attacks happen frequently and continue to escalate. For example, in April 2015, 16 states in the US discovered that they had the avian flu virus, and experts indicated that this was the worst outbreak of avian flu in the US in 30 years. On April 25, 2015, an earthquake registering 8.1 on the Richter scale occurred in central Nepal, resulting in the deaths of around 9,000 people, with 22,000 injured. This was the biggest natural disaster to hit Nepal in over 80 years. From November 2015 to July 2016, Paris, Brussels and then Nice experienced multiple terrorist attacks, which caused the deaths of at least 200 people, with over 700 injured. In April 2016, India experienced its worst drought for 40 years, which caused more than 300 million people to struggle to find enough water to drink. From 4th to the 6th February 2017, due to heavy snow, there occurred a series of avalanches along the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan, which caused the deaths of more than 100 people and affected around 2,617 families, making a total of 15,702 people. At daybreak on April 1, 2017, floods and landslides caused by heavy rain hit Mocoa, Colombia, killing at least 316 people and injuring 332, with 103 people missing. This was the third weather-related disaster in Colombia’s history and is considered the worst disaster ever to hit Mocoa. It is precisely the frequency of these disasters that serves as a reminder to mankind from God, and from them we can see that this biblical prophecy has long been fulfilled, and the Lord has come again.

2. The Restoration of Israel

It says in Matthew chapter 24, verses 32 to 33: “Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near: So likewise you, when you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.” As we all know, the fig tree putting forth its leaves is spoken of in reference to the restoration of Israel. Israel was restored on May 14, 1948. These scriptures tell us that when we see Israel restored, the Son of man is at the door. It has now been 70 years since Israel was restored; 70 years ago, the Lord was at the door, so hasn’t He long since returned? It is very clear that this prophecy of the Lord Jesus’ return has also been fulfilled.

3. The Gospel Shall Be Preached in Every Corner of the World

It says in Matthew chapter 24, verse 14: “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness to all nations; and then shall the end come.” “This gospel … shall be preached in all the world” means that when all the world has heard the gospel of the Lord Jesus, Christ will come. (It does not mean when every single person has heard the gospel or when every single person believes in Christ.) When the Lord Jesus was nailed to the cross and completed His work of redemption, the Holy Spirit began to guide the disciples and apostles to bear witness to the Lord Jesus. Since then, the Lord’s gospel has been gradually spread through all manner of channels, such as radio, the Internet, books, gospel flyers or believers’ evangelism. Christianity has become established throughout the world, and many countries even take Christianity as their national religion. Christians have also long since spread across the world, and there are even many who accept the Lord Jesus’ gospel in China, which is ruled by an atheist political party; the Lord Jesus’ gospel of redemption has long since spread to the ends of the world. Dear brothers and sisters, think about it for a moment: What nation, what region in the world now has never heard the gospel of the Lord Jesus?

4. Iniquity Shall Abound and the Love of Believers Shall Wax Cold

It says in Matthew chapter 24, verse 12: “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Iniquity is now increasing in the world of religion, and it is now without the work of the Holy Spirit or the presence of God. Even though some may appear to have a fervent belief, they still walk the worldly path. The coveting of wealth is widespread amongst believers, some sell all manner of goods in their churches, some go into business and some run factories and busy themselves with making money. They take no thought to working for the Lord and they live enmeshed in worldly entanglements. When pastors and elders preach, they focus only on explaining biblical knowledge and theological theories instead of preaching the Lord’s words; they don’t bear witness to the Lord or exalt the Lord, and they don’t lead believers to seek to understand the Lord’s will. And so, they end up leading their listeners into biblical knowledge, and their flock becomes further and further removed from God; some pastors and elders vie with each other and engage in jealous disputes, so much so that they even form cliques, separate into differing factions and gangs, steal offerings, engage in sexual misconduct and have no God-fearing heart whatsoever. These iniquitous actions are happening more and more now in the world of religion and churches are becoming more and more desolate. These things inevitably make us think of the end of the Age of Law, when the temple that had previously been filled with the glory of Jehovah appeared desolate, the priests made poor sacrifices, and the temple became a marketplace. Is there any difference between the churches of today and the temple at the end of the Age of Law? From this we can see that this biblical prophecy has been completely fulfilled, and that the Lord has returned.

5. The Appearance of False Christs and False Prophets

It says in Mark chapter 13, verse 6, that when the disciples asked the Lord Jesus what omens there would be for His second coming in the last days, the Lord Jesus said, “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” And it is recorded in Matthew chapter 24, verse 24, “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

The Lord Jesus prophesied that when He returned in the last days, there would appear false Christs and false prophets. Over the past few years, false Christs and false prophets have appeared one after another in countries such as China, South Korea, and Japan. They call themselves Christ, and not only do they try to pass themselves off with Jesus’ name, but they also try to imitate the Lord Jesus’ signs and wonders, healing the sick, casting out demons, etc. From the appearance of so many false Christs, we can see that this prophecy concerning the Lord Jesus’ return has been fulfilled, for when false Christs appear, the true Christ has actually already come. At this time, we should even more so take the initiative and seek out the appearance and work of God. Perhaps some brothers and sisters may say: “Now, so many false Christs and false prophets have appeared. If we take the initiative to seek and investigate them, what shall we do if we are deceived?” But if we don’t seek and investigate the appearance and work of God because we are afraid of being deceived, we would not know that the Lord has returned, and wouldn’t that make us even more likely to be abandoned? Wouldn’t we be stopping eating because we are afraid of choking, and losing out on a lot to save a little? From this, we can see that adopting an attitude of hearing nothing, seeing nothing and touching nothing toward all who preach the coming of the Lord for fear of being deceived is foolish. If we want to welcome the Lord Jesus’ return, then it is crucial to be able to tell the difference between false Christs and the true Christ. Only in this way can we welcome the Lord and not be deceived. So what are the characteristics of a false Christ? The Lord Jesus said, “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders.” From the Lord’s words, we can see that the main features of false Christs are: They can only perform some simple signs and wonders and preach fallacies which appear true but which are actually false in order to deceive people; they are completely incapable of expressing any truth to solve mankind’s problem of sinning and confessing, and they cannot save mankind from their own corruption. This is because the essence of false Christs is that of extremely wicked evil spirits, and they are completely devoid of truth. Only Christ is the truth, the way and the life; only Christ can express the truth, show us the way and provide us with life. All those who cannot express the truth to provide for us and can only show some simple signs and wonders are false Christs—this is the fundamental principle of how to tell false Christs from the true Christ. With the Lord’s words as our basis, we need not worry about being deceived. For how specifically to tell the difference between false Christs and the true Christ, please watch this wonderful movie clip, How to Differentiate Between the True Christ and False Christs.

From the facts above, we can see that all the prophecies concerning the Lord Jesus’ return have been fulfilled—the Lord has returned. Many people, however, will surely ask: “If the Lord has returned, why haven’t we welcomed Him yet?” Have you ever thought that there could be something wrong in the way we practice welcoming the Lord Jesus’ return? When it comes to the Lord Jesus’ return, many people make guarding against false Christs their number one priority. They cling to their conceptions and imaginings and believe that all who testify to the Lord’s return are false, and they pay no attention to how to be a wise virgin and hear God’s voice. Some people focus on watching and waiting, holding to the Lord Jesus’ name and keeping His way. But this is only passive waiting and they never take the initiative and go forth to seek and investigate, and they pay no attention to hearing the Lord’s voice. How can we welcome the Lord by practicing in this way? The Lord Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you” (Luke 11:9). “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. … Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:3, 8). The Lord is faithful, and as long as we harbor a seeking heart, pro-actively investigate the Lord’s appearance and work in the last days, listen in earnest to the Lord’s voice, and see whether this way has any expression of the truth and whether or not it can provide us with life, then the Lord will surely guide us to recognize His second coming!

Gospel Movie Clip (3) - Christians' Incredible Rebuttals to the CCP's Rumors and Slander

In order to deceive Christians into betraying God and giving up their faith, the CCP has openly blasphemed both Christ of the last days and the Lord Jesus, saying that They are both average people and are not God incarnate. The CCP has maligned Christians as merely believing in a person, and not God. It has also spread the rumor that The Church of Almighty God was created by a person just because the man who is used by God is the one who runs all the administrative affairs of the church. What really is incarnation? How did The Church of Almighty God come to be, and who founded it? How are Christians using the truth and the facts to refute the public rumors and slanders the CCP spreads about Christ and The Church of Almighty God?

Recommendation:Eastern Lightning—the appearance and work of God in the last days has rocked all sects and denominations, and all kinds of men have been revealed.
