It was this hymn that touched me and caused me to come before Almighty God. It is the real portrayal of the brothers’ and sisters’ hard experiences of preaching the gospel in following Almighty God, as well as the real portrayal of God’s love and salvation for man. “Being ferocious and vicious” and “lifting up swords and clubs,” are exactly the real portrayal of my ugly face of resisting and disobeying God. This was an amazing musical and dance feature film which tells the story of a young woman named Xiaozhen and her friends who drift away from God in search of money and fame, but after realizing those things do not satisfy, return to their faith and the Lord. In 1997, because of my frequently quarreling with my husband and mother-in-law, I believed in the Lord Jesus after the persuasion of my neighbors. When I read about the Lord Jesus’ requiring man to love his enemies and forgive others seventy times seven times, I was deeply moved. Gradually, I no longer quarreled with my husband about family trifles, nor was I upset or sad when he or his mother was bad to me. And reading the Bible become part of my daily routine. One day, I saw the Lord’s promise in the Bible, “I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:2-3). I then resolved in my heart: I must follow the Lord properly, so that when He comes again, He will take me to the heavenly home, where there will be no grief and tears forever. Thinking of it, my confidence even more increased.

A Testimony From a New Believer | The Church of Almighty God

Nearly nine years passed after I first heard the Lord Jesus’ gospel in 2007. During these years, I often read the Bible, but I didn’t gain much knowledge of the Lord and remained puzzled about many scriptures. Besides, I was unable to free myself from the friction with my families. However, the pastor couldn’t provide me with any solution to these problems. I often felt distressed about that. So I came before the Lord and prayed to Him, “Oh, Lord, I can’t get released from sin by myself. I often lose my temper because of some family trifles. I know You are not pleased with this, but I always fail to change it. Lord, I really want to know You, but I don’t know what I should do. Please send someone who is devout and truly knows You to lead me so that I can know You.” Miraculously, the Lord listened to my prayer. Not long after that, I experienced His guidance.
